About the event
Capital One is excited to host PWiCS and SWE for Let's Brunch - Nuggets for a Successful Technology Career. During brunch, you'll hear from Jean Muskatel, about her journey from help desk coordinator of a 30-person IT shop to Senior Director of Commercial Technology at Capital One. She'll also share wisdom about the career and personal journey of a woman in technology.

Speaker Bio:
Jean Muskatel is a lifelong math and technology enthusiast. Her career has leveraged these passions to build and deliver technology in the housing, hospitality and financial industries. Constantly learning, she has reinvented herself from DBA to architect to engineering leader. Along the way, she has also developed a deep interest in building high performing teams and in growing leaders.
Jean is earned Bachelor of Sciences in Mathematics and Italian from the University of Michigan. She received her Masters of Management Information Systems from the University of Arizona.
Outside of work, Jean lives in Bethesda Maryland with her also-techy husband and has two children who are on the verge of beginning their own careers. Jean loves international travel and is a slow but dedicated runner, a sport that you can do no matter where you are in the world.
